Introduction to the Initiation course

The objective of the initiation course is to establish the basics of musical expression on the keyboard.

The course is aimed at beginners aged 6+ years or 4+ years with the assistance of a parent at home. ​
​​

At the end of the Initiation course, the students are able to interpret musically with two hands and understand the score of a series of pieces in various styles, measures and tonalities. ​

The course is divided into 9 modules and consists of 20 preparatory pieces and 20 progressive pieces.

Each progressive piece has: ​

an orchestral audio recording
-
a piano audio recording (student version)
-
an audio music theory recording (sung notes)

a sample video (for key pieces)

a video of the drop-down score

a "story" section presenting the arguments of the piece

a "theory" section presenting all the musical terms of the score
-
a section "for parents" presenting the objectives of the pieces and advice for practice. ​

an orchestral audio recording for listening and accompaniment

a "story" section presenting the arguments of the piece

a "theory" section showing the relationship between note names, staff and keyboard
